Baxter's Live Music Ari Davis Fitzroy

Ari Davis

Ari often gets asked “Where are you from?” or “Are you American”, to which he happily replies, “I am an American-accented, internationally educated, Asian-looking Australian… and proud of it!” Born in Indonesia and calling Australia home for the past twenty-four years, Ari has created countless memorable performances for audiences of festivals, private functions, parties, and venues and continues to WOW crowds with his passion for performing. A songwriter and interpreter of popular songs, Ari has a talent for building the energy of any crowd whilst showcasing his powerhouse vocals, looping talents, and guitar skills. With a huge repertoire of covers and originals, Ari is able to read any crowd and take them on a collective musical journey of joy and discovery. Growing up in a musical family, multiple instruments were at arm’s length in Ari’s youth and with four brothers in the house, it was a beautifully noisy home full of creativity and innovation. Through his international travels for work and life, Ari kept his guitar close and continued to write and perform in cities including Bangkok and Singapore, eventually ending up in Perth, Western Australia which he now calls home. Ari has released his own compositions throughout the years, as well. He launched a four-song EP titled “Feeding my Fire” in November 2014 at the Astor Lounge, while opening for local Perth band Stone Circle. In 2018, he released “This Love, This Life’, a five-song EP full of his own songs and stories. During the global challenges of 2020, he poured his heart out into a 6-song EP, “Us” and most recently released his single “Power of The Dragon”. With his personable nature and undeniable passion for music and performing, Ari has built a supportive community of musicians called “We’ve Got Gigs”. Connected by Ari, this community of local artists can collaborate, support and share gigs with each other. After all, Perth’s music scene is rather small – everyone knows everyone, and with Ari around, he strongly believes everyone should help everyone!
