Baxter’s Live is tucked into Brunswick Street in the heart of Fitzroy.

A free live music venue built around supporting emerging local artists, good drinks, and the kind of nights that are worth leaving the house for.

We put on live music five nights a week. Entry is always free.

The bar opens at 4pm. The stage comes alive at 9pm. Jazz, soul, indie, folk and everything in between — played by the artists who are
building Melbourne’s music scene from the ground up. Every act you’ll see here is a local artist on their way somewhere.

Some are names you’ll already know. Most are names you’ll be glad you heard early. Either way — free entry means there’s no reason not to find out.

There’s no cover charge because we believe good live music should be accessible to everyone.
Every drink you buy keeps the lights on, the PA running, and the artists coming back. That’s the deal.
